  1. Hi, Sumit! Thank You So Much for sharing this update!! You may want to share this …

I’ve been using a OnePlus 9 Pro LE2125 since its release in November 2021, and firmware updated to the Android 12 C.36 release in December 2021. C.36 was working fine, BUT I no longer had the “Update Software” option in Settings anymore, therefore I was Stuck (arghh!) with C.36 until I came upon this and other recent articles.

I found the Boot / Recovery Boot option you mentioned didn’t work for me – there was no “Stock Recovery” or Local Update option either.

I researched and found this online: OPLocalUpdate_For_Android12.apk . After updating all data and charged 100% (and left phone plugged into charger), I copied this apk and the F.16 Oxygen OS Android 13 update into the root folder of the phone; ran the apk which saw the F.16 immediately; installed the F.16 which took ~ 15 minutes or so; install ended with a warm reboot. Everything runs perfectly. I even cold rebooted a few times after some Google Play updates. So far, so good! Yay!

Side note – currently living in Hong Kong which uses the “Leave Home Safe” app to trace and allow entry to different venues (e.g., public spaces, eateries, shops, etc.). It was a bit of risk to update the phone, since messing up the app could potentially cause problems with venue access.
